By now, everyone has heard about the NEW Care Guidelines 1.0 that NextGen released. Has your practice upgraded? If you have upgraded, are you taking advantage of the new features? Listed below are the top 5 features of the new care guidelines from NextGen.
1. Auto Apply
We asked for it, we got it! NextGen can now auto apply care guidelines to patient charts based on age, gender and diagnosis.
2. New, front-end guideline management panel
The new paged view makes the user interface so much easier to use and understand.
3. Set up is easier and now more than 1 code can satisfy a care guideline!
4. Changes to guideline definition are automatically made for each patient when guidelines are refreshed.
5. Guidelines will now “read” from within the lab module improving the automation of satisfying care guidelines.
We could also talk about the custom reminders and orderables that can be configured at a patient level. We could talk about how the practice can customize each individual line item for that patient’s specific needs, but I had to stop at the top 5, as I could talk for days about these new care guidelines and what value they can bring to your practice.
